Are BERNDS bikes not larger and heavier than other folding bikes?
Due to their 20" wheels, BERNDS bikes tend to have a somewhat different size when folded than other bikes with even smaller tyres: they are higher, but on the other hand considerably less deep than our competitors' products. To start with they appear to be larger, but the flatter shape when folded turns out to be an advantage in many situations.

As regards weight:
we have weighed them and found out that BERNDS bikes weigh the same as similarly equipped competitors' bikes. Our folding bike, depending on equipment, weighs 9.6 kg and upwards!
We ought to mention that our bikes, even with this low net weight can carry up to 140 kg, which means they have ample load capacity in reserve ... and are built to last.
