Why do the handlebars wobble about so much? Which way should I steer the handlebars?
With a commonly-used hinge, you can only fold the handlebars in exactly
one direction (along one axis). Consequently the handlebars can only be
placed flat on the frame in certain alignments. With our flexible hinge joint
on the other hand, the handlebars can always be placed in the optimum
position and then fixed with the lashing strap.
That means:
- you can install practically any shape of handlebar.
- you can adjust the handlebars exactly according to your own
individual preferences. - the handlebars always remain adjusted in the correct position, even
after folding.
When a BERNDS is folded, the handlebars are always able to be placed in
their flattest and thus most space-saving position on the frame.
