The BERNDS-Folding Bike can be folded up very quickly and without using tools. Another method of folding allows it to be folded even flatter.

Turn the handlebars just over 180° to the right against the direction of travel, place your foot on the foot stand and using the saddle, pull the bike out of the suspension; then swing the rear sub-frame forwards.

Release the handlebar catch, grasp the handlebar unit by the tube, pull it upwards and out and then lay it down.

Release the catch on the seatpost,
pull the seat unit upwards by the tube and then swing it forwards.

DONE!

Everything started in 1991 with our folding bike. The prize-winning, ingeniously simple and much admired single-tube bicycle, even after years on the market, still wins buyers over by its functional looks and puristic simplicity.

Our folding bike gives immaculate riding performance suitable for long trips and at the same time a very compact size when folded. The reason is the BERNDS design with its solid torsional stiffened, single-tube frame, the robust, easy-running 20" wheels and the sprung, folding swingarm.

Our BERNDS-Folding Bike is today more variable and adaptable than ever: starting with the frame adjusted to the rider's size, the different drive and gearing versions and brake systems, and ending with the individually chosen handlebars and stems. An electric motor, too, can be added as an optional extra.

By the way: our folding bike starts with as low a weight as 9.8 kg!
