Tools necessary:

1 x No. 5 Allen key

Folding in the handlebars: loosen the
clip (no. 5 Allen key) on the handlebar
stem, pull the handlebar unit upwards
from the tube, and lay the handlebars
in the carrying basket.

Swing the rear sub-frame inwards: lift
the PackBERNDS up by the saddle and
stand on the rear sub-frame, so that
the suspension unit comes loose from
the catch. Swing the rear sub-frame
inwards until the tyre is resting against
the frame tube.

Removing the seatpost: loosen the
quick-release lever on the seatpost
and pull the seat tube upwards and
out and stow it in the box or basket.

Our new BERNDS cargo bike is based on the low step-through version of the tried and tested, robust BERNDS frame.

With the PackBERNDS the special advantages of the BERNDS design prove their worth once again.

• Due to the 20" wheels, the cargo compartment and thus the centre of gravity are both low and in the centre. Even with the heaviest loads this ensures safe, manageable and agile riding performance.
• The wheelbase and the steering kinematics have been chosen so that on the one hand there is plenty of space for cargo, without sacrificing the typical BERNDS agility on the other.
• The robust construction in conjunction with 20" wheels permits a high payload of 260 kg.
• The PackBERNDS is supplied with a very large, light and particularly robust carrying basket - Made in Germany!

At all the ergonomically important places we have, as usual, used standard parts, so that the PackBERNDS, too, can be adapted to your individual needs.
